In the Studio with Mary: Paint Poppies with Me! *a FREE tutorial + printable paint guide*
Paint poppies with me + a FREE printable 5x7" paint guide
I’ve been going through a series on getting started with watercolor, but I’m visiting family this week, so I recorded this special free watercolor tutorial for you to try!
I created a simple printable 5x7” paint guide for you to print if you don’t want to draw the flowers yourself.
Here are the supplies to grab for this lesson (see this video for more on suggested watercolor materials):
Optional: templates printed on watercolor paper or cardstock. (I am currently using this pack of watercolor paper from Amazon)
OR your choice of paper
pencil
watercolor palette of basic colors
mixing surface
cup of water
a small or medium rounded brush
OPTIONAL: chalk pastels. I use Prismacolor Nupastels in the video, but these Ohuhu pastels also work similarly (but not as well as the Nupastels)
You can download the printable drawing guide by right-clicking on the image below to save:

I appreciate you being here with me! I’d love to see what you paint. Feel free to share a picture in the comments
